Stewardship Board

Stewardship Statement -- Missouri Synod: Christian stewardship is the free and joyous activity of the child of God and Godís family, the church, in managing all of life and lifeís resources for Godís purpose.

This year, the Parish Planning Council have asked that each one of our members give thanks to God for all of their gifts, and to prayerfully consider the gifts that they can bring to set the table of stewardship for worship, fellowship, service and education, to pass onto others what God has first given to you.

II Corinthians 9:7: Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Giving is a matter of the heart, between you and God. It isnít just about ďfinancialĒ giving- it is about using your spiritual gifts in service to the Lord, including the giving of your time & talents.

Many of us may already know what our talents and skill sets are, but how many of us truly know what our spiritual gifts are, and how to use them in service to God? A spiritual gift is the God-given capacity of every Christian to carry out his/her function in the body of Christ.

Over the next year, as part of my growth, I will be exploring the spiritual gifts listed in the Bible, and will be sharing my findings and experiences to help you identify your spiritual gifts (if you havenít already done so) and how to find time in your busy day to use them in service to God.

So stay tuned!
Your Sister in Christ,
Brenda McKinley,
Board of Stewardship

Evangelism Board

The basic objectives of this Board are the bringing of the Gospel to the unchurched, the enlistment of all God's people in the work of spreading the Gospel, the deepening of the faith, and activity of the members of the congregation.

To that end, some of our efforts this year have included, the creation of bookmarks which are available to all at the back of the church, and which are sent to visitors to our church who sign the register to encourage their return. Additionally, the creation of this website to try and encourge better communication and availablity of information about us, among both members and non-members alike.

Other projects currently underway are the creation tracts (brochures) about our church and to help spread the Gospel, and the cross program making small metal crosses available to help spread the word, and demonstartate the origins of Christian Love to non-believers.

Why encourage all to join us in our efforts to spread God's Word.

May God Bless you all!
